Pinguicula primuliflora – Early / Primrose Butterwort

🪴 Plant Type: Warm-temperate Perennial

☀️ Light: Bright indirect light or sun dappled shade 

💧 Water: Use distilled, rain, or RO water. Keep soil damp at all times. Tray method: ½” water in tray — don’t water crown to avoid crown rot.

🌡️ Temps: 50–85°F (Can tolerate lower but stops growing)

🌱 Soil: Long-fiber sphagnum or 2 parts peat, 1 part silica sand, 1 part small perlite.

🪰 Feeding: Catches small bugs on sticky leaves

🌸 Flowers: Pale purple, blooms almost year-round

🌿 Growth: Spreads from plantlets produced on leaf tips, forms clumps

🌬️ Humidity: High humidity preferred; likes occasional flooding

⛺ Best For: Terrariums, indoor setups, protected outdoor bogs

📝 No dormancy. Does not form a winter bud.
